Shabnam Rana - Pharmacist
Shabnam loves working as a community pharmacist; she has served in Alberta and British Columbia for over thirteen years. Before that, she worked as a researcher in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and as an educator.
In Calgary, with her Additional Prescribing Authorization and her certifications as a Diabetes Educator, Respiratory Educator, Geriatrics, Travel health, and smoking cessation educator, she coordinated clinical services for five retail stores.
She worked as a Consultant pharmacist for assisted living and long-term care facilities. She regularly met with the residents and their representatives to hear their concerns and tailor their medication needs in collaboration with doctors and nurses. With these medication reviews, she successfully reduced adverse effects and drug interactions and corrected medication-related issues.
In British Columbia, Shabnam served both as a Staff Pharmacist and a Pharmacy Manager. With all her experience and knowledge, Shabnam is now ready to open her own Independent Family Pharmacy, where she, along with her family, will serve the beautiful Community of Ladysmith.
After work, Shabnam loves spending time with her children and out with Nature, which is best done on Vancouver Island!
Noemi - Front Store Manager
Noemi is currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts degree at Vancouver Island University. She has a passion for health care and a fondness for biology, previously working in a dental office and taking several biology courses.
She enjoys simple pleasures, spending time with family and friends, cooking a nice meal, and putzing around the outdoors on a pair of skis or hiking boots.
Momina - Pharmacy Assistant
When not studying or working at the Pharmacy, Momina loves hiking with her friends, especially around Westwood lake. She loves animals and, at one time, owned chickens, pigeons, and ducks. She is always excited to take her sister's dog, Lizzy, and the neighbor's dogs, Saber and Cayleigh, out for walks.
